TÜV SÜD has become a member of “We Stay PRIDE” programme, presented by Uhlala Group. This LGBT+ Employer Excellence Programme supports companies to embrace diversity within their working environment. For the TÜV SÜD Group, this is the first of many measures planned to step up the promotion of diversity in the company.
“Our employees’ diversity and wealth of experience are the backbone of TÜV SÜD’s success. We intend to encourage this diversity even more, connect employees more closely with each other and offer them a prejudice-free working environment in which they can grow and reach their full potential. Our membership of ‘We stay PRIDE’ is only the first of many planned measures”, explains Markus Schwarzenböck, Head of Corporate Human Resources at TÜV SÜD AG.
The “We Stay PRIDE“ project of the Uhlala Group supports organisations and their employees, delivering digital events, online workshops, training, audits, certification and advisory services. The project also offers a platform for connecting the LGBT+ networks of its member companies, thereby encouraging dialogue and exchange of ideas and experience. Interested TÜV SÜD employees can learn from case studies and communicate with employees from other organisations.
“TÜV SÜD promotes diversity. All employees deserve respect whatever their gender, nationality, ethnic background, faith, beliefs, disabilities, age, sexual orientation or identity“, emphasises Schwarzenböck. Lending emphasis to this objective, in 2017 TÜV SÜD became a signatory of the Diversity Charter, Germany’s largest diversity initiative. The internal LGBT*IQ network prOUT@TÜV SÜD was established in 2019.
