The China Compulsory Certification (CQC) and China Quality Certification (CCC) schemes require manufacturers of products in hundreds of categories to obtain approval before their products can be marketed, imported, or used for any commercial purposes in China.
Obtain CCC certification by adhering to regulations, which cover a range of 20 product types related to human life and health, animals, plants, environmental protection and national security. A product can only be marketed, imported, or used for any commercial purposes only after applying the CCC Mark.
The CQC Mark is a voluntary product certification which covers more than 500 products, acknowledging that they conform with standards relating to quality, safety, environment, and performance.
SIX STEPS TO CCC CERTIFICATION:
Submit an application with supporting materials; self-certification is not permitted.
Test product samples in a CNCA-designated test laboratory (in China). TÜV SÜD is a Notified Body and our China Compulsory Certification and China Quality Certification centers in Beijing are accredited testing laboratories that provide:
Initial factory audit by an official CQC auditor.
Obtain CCC certification approval.
Obtain CCC Mark. Your product has access to the Chinese market.
Annual follow-up factory inspections for certification renewal
CCC and CQC certification is required for many types of products to gain legal access to the Chinese marketplace. Products without CCC accreditation can be held or impounded at ports of entry, and manufacturers of products that are not CCC accredited may be subject to other penalties. In addition, buyers and consumers may demand CQC accreditation as evidence of a company’s commitment to delivering quality products that are safe for use.
